Day 10

Jan 11

Today I am very motivated (mainly because I am writing this after a run) as I have managed to go to the gym for the second of my three runs a week.

I am happy that I managed to do 2.97km in 30mins and strangely this has given me lots of motivation to stick it out with the food today.

I weighed in today at 18st 9.5lb which is again only a 1/2lb weight loss since the weekend but I am hopeful that this should change by the end of the week due to exercise and no beer.

Thanks

Day 8

Jan 09

Today I am super motivated as I managed to wake up at 6.30 and head to the gym where I did an amazing 2.8km in 30 minutes, doesn’t sound like a lot especially when I need to be doing double that within 8 weeks if I am ever to do my first 5KM event but it is certainly a good start.

My first weeks progress sees me weighing in at 18st 10lb which meant I lost nothing over the weekend (as expected)

Thats all for now a very happy and pumped

Day 6

Jan 07

So today I have been thinking about the last weeks food and it’s clear to see that alcohol plays a big part here although I don’t usually drink in the week and am just getting rid of everything left over from Xmas, with that being said I work it out to be over 3000 Calories which would have made a big difference on the week although today weighing in at 18st 10lb means I have lost another 1lb and a total of 6lb this week.

My fat percentage is down to 44% which I think was 46% when I started so that is definitely progress.

My mood today is very positive and I am sure I can lose another pound before my 1st weeks registered weigh in on Monday which would put me at half a stone for a week, fantastic I think, just need to get on with exercising and I should be able to continue the loss.

Day 4

Jan 05

Hello again,

Today I am very motivated as I stepped onto the scales to reveal a massive 3lb weight loss putting me at 18st 11lb, whilst this may fluctuate slightly tomorrow (again I expect to maintain or put on a little) it still represents 5lb loss and that is great news at the moment.

I have been looking at events to take part in and whilst I would like to start with a 5KM I have found a 10KM in Leicester on April 1st which may be a little to ambitious given that it gives me 12 weeks on Sunday to train for it, I know this can be done but at the moment I would struggle to run 1KM.

Do I commit to this and train, it would certainly help me reach my weight loss goals, or is this one goal too far?

Update – I have found a 5KM in Stratford on March 3rd which would be a great primer to see if I can cope at this kind of event

Just did 10mins on the treadmill at home and whilst it isn’t the best way to train (the treadmill is not very good) it wasnt so bad, I am knackered and I think I need to use the gym Treadmills if I am going to get anywhere.

New Years Eve 2011

Dec 31

Hello to you,

it’s NYE 2011 and today we have friends coming round and we plan on drinking and eating (a curry to be precise).

Tonight will be my last night of heavy drinking for some time as well as the last take away for at least the whole of January whilst I try to get in to some sort of routine.

My brother likes to have a treat day and picks Friday or Saturday I think and once I have started to get into a routine I will pick a day too. For now my plan is to cut down the crap food and pick up the exercise. I plan on starting on the 2nd January 2012 as I also have a family meal on the 1st which may involve some drinking etc too.

Two more sleeps and then I need to be up and ready to go.
